For many centuries the port of Leith has been Edinburgh's gateway to the sea. It has now bee subsumed into the city itself, but has still retained its considerable character. The Royal Yacht Britannia is now berthed there and the historic quayside is now populated by some of Edinburgh's most prestigious restaurants and interesting shops.

Many of the bonded warehouses which used to be part of the scene in Leith have now disappeared, and this brings us to the Ginger Wine Apartment, which is a superb conversion of what used to be the old Crabbie's Warehouse complex. (Geddit?)

Whether you are visiting Edinburgh for pleasure or work, you will be most conveniently situated in this attractive and spacious flat which provides excellent accommodation for up to four people. The apartment has all the features that one would expect from such an elegant conversion, such as a secure entry system, electric central heating, a large lounge-dining room, a modern fitted kitchen, two good bedrooms and bathroom with shower. However, the cherry on the top, as regular visitors to Edinburgh will appreciate, is that it also has its own allocated parking space. (Unrestricted parking is also available on some of the adjacent streets).

Just along the road is the flagship Ocean Terminal shopping and cinema centre. There is a continuous bus service up and down to Princes Street, a journey of just a few minutes. At For some gentle exercise at the end of a long day sight-seeing or in the office, there is also a nearby leisure centre with an excellent swimming pool (where the flumes and raft run will delight any younger members in the party.)
